Program Overview:
The Game Changers Club is a FREE program for high school golfer’s grades 9-12 that meets on Friday afternoons from 4 PM to 6 PM throughout the school year. Sessions include open practice facility, on course play, guest speakers, life skill lessons, and other surprises. In addition to the instruction, students can participate in community service projects, fun social events with their peers, play golf with Board Members, and other amazing opportunities. For high school seniors, college scholarships may also be available to apply for
Purpose and Benefits of the Game Changers Club:
To provide High School students, who are members of HS golf teams or are brand new to the game, the opportunity to join First Tee – Aiken and be a part of a program that will provide the following:
- To bring students from various high schools in the CSRA together to build friendships, explore life skills and golf skills, and provide opportunities that would be life impacting.
- To provide club members the opportunity to participate in scheduled field trips that highlights team building, college preparation, investigation of career possibilities, “Giving Back” to the community, and a host of other adventures that will be impactful in each club members life.
- To enjoy the game of golf for life by learning skills that will provide skills assessment, development of game plan, tracking of personal progress, and be challenged to become better players and competitors on the golf course.
- To provide testimonials from various professionals in sports, business, and a host of other career fields to provide impactful and valuable information for personal life development.
- Club members will be able to work with the professional coaching staff of First Tee – Aiken to enhance their skills.
- Have opportunities to be a guest (play golf) with Board Members and Special Friends of First Tee – Tampa at local private clubs/courses.
