Group Lessons
In the Group Lessons, participants ages 5-14 receive golf instruction in classes with no larger than a eight-to-one student/instructor ratio. The classes meet once per week for five weeks, 60 to 90 minutes per class, and consist mainly of driving range and short game instruction. All classes are led by a First Tee – Aiken golf instructor. These sessions will be offered continuously throughout the year every. Students who have their own golf clubs are encouraged to bring them to class; however, for any student who does not have equipment, First Tee – Aiken will provide the appropriate clubs for each session. Your child’s primary goal for the Group Lessons is to learn enough of the skills needed in order to be comfortable to play The Chalkmine – our 9 hole par 3 course.
We offer multiple Group Lessons Programs both on Saturday and during the week which are split into the below age ranges:
- 5 – 6 Years Old
- 7 – 11 Years Old
- 12 +
- Homeschool 6 – 10
Challenge the Chalkmine
Students will learn about playing golf through a mixture of practice and on course play. Wednesdays will be spent doing activities and practicing. Saturdays will be spent on the course with students working to shoot qualifying scores to level up through the program. The Students will learn to score by starting closer to the hole and working their way further from the hole as they level up. Due to the nature of on course play these classes could possibly run past the allotted dismissal time.
Grils Golf
Girls Golf is an ALL GIRLS junior golf club! This program is for girls ages 7+ and meets once per week for five consecutive weeks. Providing an environment that is welcoming and encouraging to female golfers seven to thirteen years old. Giving developing young female golfers the opportunity to learn among a pier group that is welcoming and specific to them. Through the program we hope to teach more girls the game of golf, provide social opportunities to encourage lasting friendships, instill confidence in the girls, inspire them to be active, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!
High School Program
The High School Program is a FREE program for high school golfer’s grades 9-12 that meets on Friday afternoons throughout the school year. Sessions include open practice facility, on course play, guest speakers, life skill lessons, and other surprises. In addition to the instruction, students can participate in community service projects, fun social events with their peers, play golf with Board Members, and other amazing opportunities. For high school seniors, college scholarships may also be available to apply for.
