The Chalk Mine is a walking-only, nine-hole par-three course, range, and practice facility built in partnership between USC Aiken and First Tee – Aiken. Now open to the public, the facility maintains dedicated times for the USC Aiken golf team and First Tee youth, ensuring its core purpose remains the same—growing the game of golf, one child at a time.

Serving as a “Learning Links” for USC Aiken and the greater community, The Chalk Mine creates meaningful opportunities for students and youth from all backgrounds. Thoughtfully routed through a former chalk mine and designed by Jim McNair, Jr., the course blends rustic character with strategic shot-making. Though short in length, firm greens, forced carries, and dual flag locations reward precision and creativity, making every walk both challenging and memorable.

• General Public: $20
• USC Aiken Students & Juniors (10+ years): $15
• USC Aiken Staff, Faculty & Alumni: $15
• First Tee – Aiken Parents: $10*
• First Tee – Aiken Participants: $5

*First Tee parents must be accompanied by a First Tee participant with an active memberships.

All players must show proof of affiliation at check-in.
